Making progress!

The tangle sock has grown up! It is no longer the bane of my existence now that I finished working the heel. That leaves, um, only 7 more inches of 2x2 ribbing to go (or until I run out of yarn)!

See how big his foot is? His foot really is a foot.

While I was working the heel, the boy finished balling up the secret project yarn. Now, it's time to do some serious knitting! There will be no more pictures of this stuff until it is in the recipient's hands.

  1. Wow! I can't WAIT to see what you do with the yarn. Aren't those Berkeley colors?

After that sock, don't you still have to make the other one?

  2. Yes, I will have to make another sock. However, the second sock always goes faster!

  3. hey, what kind of heel do you do for your toe-up socks? and do you do the magic loop or 2 circulars? i'm in the midst of Bill's sock again for the umpteenth time and i can't fine any tutorials on doing a heel, toe-up, on 2 circs.
and that yarn turned out GREAT! can't wait to see it knit up!

  4. I used Hellchick's pattern using 2 circs. I'm not crazy about the toe, though, so I'm going to do the short row toe suggested on Knitty's universal sock pattern. The heel, which I dig, is a short row heel.
