230 yards of Mingus...

looks like this:

This 1-ply yarn is overspun and I had to hang a 5-pound weight on it while it was drying to reduce some of the twist. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, but it seemed like a waste to throw away Mingus' soft, downy undercoat.

  1. that looks so great! it looks like mingus-ey colored angora! :o) maybe you could make it a part of a pillow cover? or a center square of a blankie? or...part of a pair of fingerless mitts? :o)ek.

  2. I want some Mingus! My brother thought it was odd that you actually spun his fur to knit with. Therefore, do you think there would be enough to make him a SCARF??? Or I could just do a stripe of Mingus in it and tell him AFTER it becomes his FAVORITE!!!

    *giggle*
