I agree, so long as they are thrown into a slow cooker. Whenever I
attempt these on a stovetop, I fail due to my inability to leave
cooking food alone.
A scattering of salt and a few drizzles of olive oil is all it takes
to convert raw onions into a kitchen staple. They freeze really well,
too.
Well, I've never made caramelized onions, so I'm impressed no matter how you make them! Cooking....so not my forte.
ReplyDeleteHave you bought Mingus a bed yet or is the poor creature still cramming himself into the laundry basket? :)
I never thought to do it in a slow cooker!! That's genius! Thanks for the tip lady:)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I HATE carmelizing onions. Too short of an attention span.
