It's here!

The huacaya alpaca fiber arrived today! The boy and I worked on carding and spinning it tonight.

Now, I need to think of some projects for the stuff. Perhaps a felted bag or two?

    woohoo 3 new posts at once!

    Alpaca is too wonderfully soft to felt - make a really nice wrap or scarf or something else where the softness will be appreciated

    or start making squares to sew together into an afghan down the road..

    and i'll have to read up on carding soon to card up that bright yak fiber o'mine.
